Mastercard has completed its acquisition of BVNK, a payments infrastructure company focused on fiat and digital currencies, allowing businesses and other users to hold, move, manage, and convert funds across traditional and digital currencies.
The companies will focus on several use cases, including cross-border B2B payments, payouts, settlement, and treasury operations. Mastercard said the combination is intended to make it easier for businesses to use digital assets alongside traditional currencies.
