The NFT-Marked Fashion Company
Recently, we have witnessed another great application of the NFT intellectual property licensing between clothing brands and NFT projects. This is about the fact that Old Navy, an apparel fashion brand, is collaborating with the famous BAYC(Bored Ape Yacht Club) to launch its fashion project. The announcement was made this Friday.
A Unisex t-shirt is being sold at the market price of $19.99. This is depicting BAYC #7285. This t-shirt comes in gray and has the lettering: “Bored Ape”. The product made of 100% cotton is being supplied through Gap, the parent company of Old Navy. Through this step, Old Navy has built itself as a relevant NFT-marked fashion company. The collaboration has marked a great brand-building exercise on individual Ape licensing. According to sources, the following are the main projects which are going to be used in the collection are:
- Six different Bored Apes
- 11 Mutant Apes
- One CryptoPunk
- Six CLONE X NFT
Other BAYC Projects
Fashion Nova has also launched its Bored Ape t-shirt, which uses BAYC IP. Fashion Nova is a women’s fashion retailer. There are many other collaborations of BAYC in the fashion industry. Some of the most common include:
- Streetwear brand The Hundreds
- Adidas
- PrettyLittleThing
- China’s sportswear brand, ‘Li Ning.’
Launched earlier this month, the Boredjobs marketplace by blockchain startup Mouse Belt Labs promises to publish all 10,000 BAYC NFTs for marketers to peruse and signal interest in recruiting for campaigns. While seeing prospective cooperation offers gives BAYC owners a substantial chance to fully utilize the advantages of the IP rights supplied by Yuga Labs to owners, the choice to licence a specific Bored Ape is exclusively at the discretion of the particular BAYC owner.
