November 12 Deadline for Blur and Blend
Blur, the $NFT marketplace that briefly ranked as the largest trading venue on Ethereum ($ETH), will take its web platform offline on November 12, 2026. The team posted the decision on X on Monday, confirming that the frontend stops serving traders from that date. The Ethereum ($ETH) price is not the object of the change; what is ending is the branded interface that carried most of Blur's activity since its late-2022 launch. The site stays live until then, giving traders a month to close positions and settle exposure. The marketplace itself does not switch off. Its underlying smart contracts stay deployed, so traders can still reach liquidity by interacting with the contract layer directly or routing orders through aggregators, paying the usual Ethereum gas fee on every on-chain action. Ownership of the assets themselves never depends on the frontend, which is why the shutdown removes convenience rather than custody. Activity remains verifiable on any block explorer. The same date applies to Blend, Blur's $NFT-collateralized lending protocol. In a separate announcement, the team said lending ends on November 12 as well, and the message to borrowers is explicit: loans must be repaid before that date or they count as defaults. After the deadline, Blur says it will ship a frontend tool that helps users pull their assets out of Blend. That tool is the only product commitment left in the closure plan, and it puts a hard clock on every open position on the protocol.
