Decentralized perpetual futures exchange PopDEX has opened its latest Trader and Contributor Rewards round, with eligible trading activity recorded from Sept. 6 through Sept. 20.

PopDEX also introduced a separate “Meme Gang War” campaign running from Sept. 8 through Sept. 20. The competition divides participants between tokens associated with Robinhood Chain and $BNB Chain.

The Robinhood Gang covers $PONS and $CASHCAT markets. The $BNB Gang represents $MARSCOIN. Participants can trade any market on PopDEX to represent their selected group, according to the project’s announcement.

PopDEX has not disclosed the value of either reward pool. It also has not published a complete allocation formula, payment asset, distribution date or minimum qualifying volume for the latest campaign.

Those missing details prevent traders from calculating the potential return from participation. The rewards should not be treated as guaranteed until PopDEX publishes final eligibility results and completes distributions.

A lot of you have been asking: will there be more PopDEX rewards?
Yes, and this next round comes with more ways to earn.

From Sep 6 to Sep 20, eligible trading on PopDEX will automatically count toward the next Trader & Contributor Rewards round.

PopDEX rewards count eligible trading automatically

Trades completed between Sept. 6 and Sept. 20 automatically count toward the next Trader and Contributor Rewards round, PopDEX said. Users do not need to register each transaction separately once they have entered through an eligible referral link.

The exchange describes the program as a way to reward active traders and community members who contribute tools, data or other resources. The exact meaning of an eligible contribution for the new round has not been fully published.

PopDEX previously advertised separate rewards for trading and community work. An earlier round offered trader rewards to users recording at least $100,000 in volume, alongside contributor rewards for bots, on-chain dashboards and trader communities.

Another earlier campaign promised up to 2,000 $USDT for traders, with guaranteed rewards for qualifying users who generated at least 10,000 $USDT in volume. Those conditions belonged to an earlier program and should not be assumed for the current round.

The latest announcement confirms that eligible trading will count, but it does not say whether previous volume thresholds still apply. It also does not explain how PopDEX will measure useful contributions or rank contributors.

Trading volume generated solely to qualify for incentives can produce costs exceeding the eventual reward. Participants may incur trading fees, spreads, funding payments and losses from price movements before receiving any campaign allocation.

Meme Gang War measures profitable trader shares

The Meme Gang War uses a group-based format. Participants first join PopDEX through an early trader’s referral link and then choose either Robinhood Gang or $BNB Gang through the campaign page.

Robinhood Gang participants can trade $PONS or $CASHCAT. $BNB Gang participants receive exposure to the $MARSCOIN market. PopDEX said trading any available market will represent the participant’s selected group.

The group with the higher proportion of profitable traders wins and shares one reward pool. Traders using the winning group’s designated meme markets may also qualify for a separate pool.

PopDEX has not explained how it defines a profitable trader. The announcement does not specify whether the calculation uses realized profit, total account profit, individual positions or results after fees and funding payments.

The project also did not state whether the groups will be weighted by trader numbers, trading volume or account size. These details could materially affect the competition’s final result.

Participants should rely on PopDEX’s final rules rather than promotional summaries. Meme-token prices can change rapidly, and campaign rewards may not offset losses from leveraged positions.

Robinhood Chain activity gave $PONS wider exposure

PopDEX launched the campaign as trading activity around Robinhood Chain applications increased. $PONS is associated with the Pons token-launch platform, while $CASHCAT is a meme token inspired by Robinhood’s early “Cash Cat” branding.

Crypto.news previously reported that Pons processed $4 billion in cumulative trading volume and generated more than 10,000 token deployments per day during its recent growth period.

Pons also recorded $4.89 million in fees on Aug. 31, according to data cited in that report. The protocol’s revenue model allocates part of its trading fees to token creators.

In related coverage, Robinhood Chain reached $6.04 million in daily fees as activity increased across exchanges and meme-token applications.

Those figures concern the Pons application and Robinhood Chain, not PopDEX. They do not establish the size of the PopDEX reward pools or indicate expected returns for campaign participants.

$CASHCAT traded near $0.18 during the reporting period, with roughly $28 million in daily volume and a market capitalization near $182 million, according to CoinGecko’s market data.

The token had fallen approximately 20% over seven days. That price movement shows the volatility facing campaign participants but cannot be attributed solely to the PopDEX competition.

$MARSCOIN gives $BNB Chain its competing market

$MARSCOIN represents the $BNB Gang in the PopDEX campaign. Binance recently listed the token with a Seed Tag, a label applied to newer projects carrying higher volatility and risk.

Binance warned in its official notice that $MARSCOIN was relatively new and would likely experience high price volatility.

Market data placed $MARSCOIN near $0.14, with a market capitalization around $139 million and more than $100 million in 24-hour trading volume. Its price had fallen by double digits over the preceding day.

$MARSCOIN should not be confused with the older proof-of-work cryptocurrency using the MARS ticker. The $BNB Chain token featured in the PopDEX campaign uses the $MARSCOIN ticker and has a separate contract and market history.

The next deadline is Sept. 20, when both the general rewards period and Meme Gang War end. PopDEX has not announced when it will publish the winning group, calculate individual allocations or distribute rewards.

Traders should verify the correct campaign page, referral link and token contracts before connecting a wallet. Copycat tokens and fraudulent reward pages commonly appear around meme-coin campaigns.
