Revolut, the prominent European fintech firm, is in talks with BonkDAO to potentially launch a “Learn and Earn Campaign” aimed at expanding the user base of Solana-based memecoin Bonk by 500,000 individuals.

Though awaiting final approval, the proposal has already sparked a 7% surge in Bonk’s price following speculation of its potential listing on Revolut’s trading platform.

Proposal overview

The proposed partnership between Revolut and BonkDAO involves the execution of a “Learn and Earn Campaign” designed to attract half a million new users to Bonk’s ecosystem.

With Revolut boasting a substantial user base of 38 million individuals across more than 50 countries, capturing just 1.3% of its users could fulfill Bonk’s ambitious goal.

As part of the campaign, Revolut users will be incentivized to engage through the promise of $1.2 million in rewards. This initiative stimulates user interest and drives participation in Bonk’s ecosystem.

Market reaction

News of the potential partnership has already impacted Bonk’s market performance, with the memecoin’s price experiencing a 7.2% increase in the last five hours and a 13.1% surge over the past 24 hours.

Despite a 60% decline from its all-time high, Bonk remains a prominent player in the memecoin landscape, buoyed by substantial trading volume.

The proposed campaign is currently pending approval from BonkDAO. Seven out of 12 Bonk voting members have voted in favor of the initiative, with only one additional vote required to reach the approval quorum.

Notably, no votes have been against the campaign, and the remaining five voters have four days to cast their decision.

Campaign structure

The “Learn and Earn Campaign” will unfold in two phases if approved. The initial phase will focus on Bonk’s launch on the Revolut platform, fostering organic growth over one to two months.

Subsequently, the campaign will transition to its second phase, leveraging incentives to drive user engagement and adoption further.

Despite the buzz surrounding the potential partnership, the Bonk community has remained relatively silent. Efforts to solicit comments from community members have thus far yielded no response.
