McLaren Racing, one of the best-known automotive brands in the world, has announced the launch of a non-fungible token (NFT) collection called McLaren Racing Collective. The platform was developed on the decentralized Tezos blockchain for maximum energy efficiency.
The first drop will include four different components of the MCL35M 2021 F1 race car
Fans and blockchain enthusiasts will be able to purchase different parts of McLaren’s Formula 1 car. Each NFT-based MCL35M race car is made out of 22 unique digital collectibles. Each digital car part will have a different scarcity level, and there will be enough parts available to assemble 35 racing vehicles. The first person to collect all unique pieces and successfully puts together the full NFT car will win an exclusive trip to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2022.
The first drop of four digital collectibles of the papaya-liveried MCL3M F1 car is slated for October 24 during the US Grand Prix in Texas. McLaren fans will be able to interact with car parts in innovative views and view them in 3D from all angles.
