Ripple Heads to Seoul: Korea's Banking Giants Set for XRP Spotlight

$XRP is eyeing a busy October with key events and upgrades in store. At the earliest in October, specifically in the first week, the $XRP Seoul event is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week.

Ripple executives, including its president Monica Long, RippleX SVP Markus Infanger, and major Korean financial institutions are set to take part in discussions around the future of digital finance.

According to Hussein Zangana (Vet), $XRP Ledger Foundation director of community, the upcoming $XRP Seoul event will feature sessions with Kyobo Securities, a major Korean securities broker, Woori Bank, one of Korea's top four banks, and Kakao Bank, the country's leading internet bank associated with the popular Kakao platform, with a focus on tokenization, payments on crypto rails, and DeFi.

$XRP community eyes busy October

$XRP Ledger is set for a busy October, with the Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and permissions delegation amendments set to launch in the coming month.

Batch and its fix eye mainnet activation on October 9, while permissions delegation is expected to launch on October 8, 2026, provided they sustain above 80% support for the two-week activation window.

The Swell event is expected to be held October 27–29, 2026, a major event for the $XRP and the Ripple ecosystem.
