IOG Becomes A Member of AmCham Mongolia
Today, the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia, AmCham Mongolia, announced in a tweet that Input-Output Global (IOG), formerly Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), has become a new member of the independent organization. It is worth noting that IOG is the only blockchain company that cooperates with the organization. IOG is expected to launch several blockchain initiatives in the East Asian country, as it is doing in Africa.
Cardano developers have previously announced plans to launch various blockchain initiatives in regions such as Africa. Hoskinson announced plans to launch a peer-to-peer (P2P) lending network in Africa in February. In April, the company partnered with iceaddis to launch a program to support African startups. Additionally, in May, IOG reported that it was getting close to launching a blockchain-based education system in Ethiopia.
The adoption of cryptography and blockchain is growing significantly in developing countries with little trust in central systems. Meanwhile, the Cardano network itself is on the verge of a major milestone and is approaching the long-awaited Vasil hard fork. The update is scheduled to launch on mainnet later this month, kicking off a wave of DApps with better scalability and throughput.
