The tradition and modernity are not always dreadful antagonists. For instance, the Bahrain shariah issued Stellar Development Foundation fund, the developer of Lumen cryptocurrency system, a Shariyah Review Board license (the product fits the Islamic standards).

Cooperation of Muslim theology and modern information technology is not that simple. Shariah Review Bureau (SRB), a reputable global consulting company, cooperating with Central Bank of Bahrain, released a communiqué where it is said that “there is no contradiction between the guidance and concept provided by the Fund.”

However, it is always said there that “users striving to follow shariah should take into account that simple observance of the attached principles does not ensure automatic observance of the shariah standards” and every transaction should be analysed by Islamic experts.

It would be fair to notice that the admission the cryptocurrencies as halal ones is a trend prevailing in only the countries of the Persian Gulf and South-East Asia (Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Indonesia and Malaysia). The rest of the Islamic world is still hesitating. Turkey has not decided regarding its attitude to cryptocurrency, Iran is rather sceptical. 20 millions of Russian Muslims are not sure in way network equivalents can please the God, too. However, during the round-table talk “Modern condition and development of Islamic economy (cryptocurrency, blockchain and Islamic finances),” which took place in Russian Islamic Institute last year, it was suggested to create cryptocurrency strongly connected with silver, the sacral metal.

By the way, the London mosque on Shackwell Lane street, as the Prior claims, have got much more donations in cryptocurrency than in real money. Of course, only after admission that it is a halal one.

Jewish follows the same way. They have launched the first kosher cryptocurrency in Russia - Bitcoen. 100 millions of Bitcoens with $1 initial cost are to be raised. As RBK says, the system will be coordinated by “the soviet of the six” which will consist of the most respected participants of the Jewish community, scientists, representatives of art and cultural life.

Orthodox theologians are still against digital money extension. It is believed that net integration removes one’s freedom driving him closer to the Antichrist’s oblivion. People pray for the mining stop in some orthodox churches (for example, in Holy Trinity Church of Efremov, Tula region). Nevertheless, such acts are singular.

The future of religiously correct cryptoprojects is still vague. However, the tendency is transparent. People with traditional views are trying to understand the “new” money phenomena, take it and make money on it. In other words: it’s no personal. It’s strictly business.
