Best RPC Providers for Solana in 2026
TL;DR: The best Solana RPC provider depends on your workload. Bots that react to account changes need Yellowstone-compatible gRPC, which Chainstack, Helius, Alchemy, Quicknode, and dRPC list. Teams that need both SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 can choose between Chainstack and Quicknode.
Solana DEXs did about $12.7 billion in volume over the past seven days, and the network holds roughly $16 billion in stablecoins and $6.1 billion in DeFi TVL, according to DefiLlama (October 2026).
Two changes this fall make the choice harder. Jito scheduled its ShredStream low-latency feed to shut down on September 5 and points users to DoubleZero Edge. And Alpenglow, the consensus upgrade that targets finality of about 150 ms, has run on testnet since September 24 and on devnet since the next day. The Solana Foundation expects mainnet activation in October, but Anza has not announced a date.

❌ means the feature is not listed in the provider’s Solana documentation or pricing pages. Information as of October 2026.
1. Chainstack

Chainstack runs Solana on Global Nodes, Dedicated Nodes, and, since August, Chainstack Self-Hosted. Pricing is flat: 1 request unit per call, or 2 for a short list of historical methods. The free plan gives 3M RU a month, and the $49 Growth plan gives 20M.
This fall Chainstack rebuilt its Solana infrastructure. Since late August, Solana on Global Nodes runs on GEN 2.0, Chainstack’s new architecture. Requests take a shorter route, so they are faster: the Solana Foundation’s public monitor shows the median response time from Frankfurt falling from about 19 ms to about 2 ms. Heavy requests now run on their own nodes, so they no longer slow down everyday calls, and limits on several methods went up, in some cases from 2 to 300 requests per second.
For trading, the Yellowstone gRPC add-on starts at $49 a month on Growth and above (Solana mainnet only), and Warp sends transactions through bloXroute at $0.15 per transaction. Chainstack holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Where it falls short: Solana mainnet is capped at 5 RPS on Developer and 50 RPS on Growth, and Yellowstone gRPC costs extra and replays under a minute.
2. OnFinality
OnFinality serves Solana mainnet and devnet over JSON-RPC and WebSocket, with archive access on every plan and pay-as-you-go Dedicated Nodes. The free plan allows 400,000 response units a day at up to 40 units per second. Growth is $49 a month for 20M response units at 200 units per second.
Where it falls short: its Solana page lists no Yellowstone gRPC, and only two regions, N. Virginia and Hong Kong. It doesn’t list SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
3. Helius
Helius is a Solana-focused provider. Billing is in credits: 1 per standard call and 10 for getProgramAccounts. The free plan gives 1M credits a month at 10 requests per second. The $49 Developer plan gives 10M credits at 50 requests per second, with staked connections for sending transactions. LaserStream, its Yellowstone-compatible gRPC service, replays up to 48 hours and runs on mainnet from the $499 Business plan. Archival data is on every plan, and dedicated nodes start at $2,900 a month. Helius states a SOC 2 Type II audit.
Where it falls short: the free tier is small, mainnet gRPC starts at $499 a month, and it lists no ISO 27001.
4. dRPC
dRPC routes requests across independent node providers. Billing is flat at 20 compute units per call, or $6 per million calls. The free tier includes 210M CU a month, about 10.5M calls. Yellowstone gRPC is a Marketplace add-on from $399 a month.
Where it falls short: free usage runs on public nodes at roughly 100 requests per second per IP with a 2-second timeout. Its docs list no dedicated nodes, SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and don’t state Solana history depth.
5. Alchemy
Alchemy’s free tier gives 30M compute units a month on Solana mainnet. Common calls cost 10 to 40 CU: 10 for getAccountInfo, 20 for sendTransaction, and 40 for getTransaction. It offers Yellowstone gRPC with historical replay of up to about 48 hours and getAccountInfo at any historical slot. It states SOC 2 Type II.
Where it falls short: gRPC is billed by bandwidth, from $75 per TB, and isn’t on the free plan, so cost depends on how tight your filters are. Dedicated clusters aren’t confirmed for Solana, and ISO 27001 isn’t listed.
6. Quicknode
Quicknode has the broadest Solana add-on catalog here, including a Priority Fee API and Jito bundles through Lil’ JIT. Solana gRPC is Yellowstone-compatible and included from the $499 Scale plan, with 10 concurrent streams. Archive data is on every plan, and it holds both SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Where it falls short: a Solana call costs 30 credits, so the 80M credits in the $49 Build plan cover about 2.7 million calls, against 20M request units in Chainstack’s $49 Growth plan. On Build and Accelerate, gRPC is a $499 a month add-on, and there is no permanent free tier, only a one-month trial of 10M credits.
Final thoughts
Chainstack is the best choice for most teams. Flat pricing of 1 request unit per call keeps bills predictable, it offers Dedicated and Self-Hosted Solana, and it holds both SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Yellowstone gRPC is a $49 add-on, and the free plan lets you test before you pay.
Other providers win in specific cases. Helius and Alchemy both offer up to 48 hours of gRPC replay, against about a minute on Chainstack Global Nodes, so replay-heavy bots may start there. Quicknode has the broadest add-on catalog and also holds both certifications, at 30 credits per call. dRPC’s free tier covers about 10.5M calls a month, enough to prototype.
Three questions settle most choices: do you stream or poll, how does your bill scale, and does a security review gate your launch? Whichever you pick, test your own workload on two providers’ free tiers first.
