China's Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) has released its latest blockchain rankings. EOS came top of the list again, as it has done every month since its mainnet launched.

EOS finished top with a score of 156.1 points, which is an improvement over November's tally of 150.5. The networks are ranked on three main metrics - basic tech, applicability, and creativity - and EOS's high scores for the former and latter are what sees it top the charts every month.

Ethereum (ETH) finished second again, as usual, and BitShares has fallen this time to eighth position, with GXChain taking its third-placed slot. The Ontology (ONT) network was a new entry in the top 10, finishing fourth with a total score of 112.6.

Other improved networks this time around included Komodo (KMD), Waves (WAVES), and Zcash (ZEC). Despite its huge market cap and apparently widespread adoption, Bitcoin (BTC) usually scores relatively low for the basic tech metric, and this time was ranked 18th, with a score of 96.1.
