According to a study by a freelancing platform Humans.net, self-employed people prefer to get salaries not with banks but with crypto.

The survey conducted on 1,100 freelancers in the US shows that 38% of the self-employed prefer receiving their payments with crypto.

Even in bearish times, as freelancers often work in overseas companies, getting paid can be a hassle and it's way easier to get cross-border payments with crypto.

Freelancers are allow to receive payments almost instantaneously with cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), especially with large payments. On legacy systems, it is relatively easy to process small payments.

The survey also shows that 18% of the self-employed want to receive their payments with crypto. 11% of the respondents said they prefer to buy only some of their salaries with crypto.

Cryptocurrency significantly increases freelancers income, as they arent losing money with payment service fees.

We can expect this number to rise as blockchain technology develops more and a solution for a store of value.
