Following TIME Magazine’s cover story on Vitalik Buterin, trolls started on Twitter about him, involving Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, calling the Ethereum founder the “TB12 on meth” and more.

Tom Brady responded on social media by praising Buterin, although Buterin didn’t know who he was and thought of him as the Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible.

Tom Brady praises Vitalik Buterin following Twitter trolls

Following TIME Magazine’s cover story on Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, calling him “The Prince of Crypto”, an endless series of trolls started on Twitter mocking Buterin.

In this regard, Buterin himself highlighted the trolls on the social network of crypto-lovers, recommending that his followers scroll down to read them all.

And indeed, the association with Tom Brady by the trolls is evident, with Buterin stating that he thinks of Brady as the Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible.

I didn't even know who Tom Brady is, had to ask people around me. My best guess was that he was the actor from Mission Impossible. pic.twitter.com/MLWVcbtPHc

“The quote tweets on the new time article about me are truly amazing.

These are barely even cherry picked, it’s pretty much one piece of awesome after another. Highly recommend scrolling”.

“What’s up Vitalik! You may not know me but just wanted to say I’m a big fan of yours. thank you for everything you’ve built in the world of crypto, otherwise Autograph wouldn’t have been possible. Hope I get to meet you someday”.

It was an opportunity for Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, to introduce himself and advertise Autograph’s NFT platform, launched in April 2021.

From winter to spring, even crypto

At the end of last month, during the ETHDenver festival dedicated to Ethereum and Vitalik Buterin, the celebrated co-founder of Ethereum spoke of “crypto winter”, as that prolonged period of suffering cryptocurrency prices.

In this regard, Buterin would have said that many developers are precisely in favour of bearish periods as opposed to bull runs, a time when new speculators are attracted to the market in the short term with much euphoria, in fact putting “anxiety” to developers who instead work calmly towards the long term.

Not only that, Buterin would have also pointed out that crypto winters serve to end less interesting projects, while many other projects fall because they are not really sustainable in the long term, both for the design and for their team of people.

Today, however, is spring day, at least on the calendar. The price of Bitcoin (BTC), following a small dump in the last 24 hours, is back above $41,000
