Plume, a blockchain network focused on real-world asset tokenization, has joined the Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group created by DTCC, the world’s largest post-trade financial infrastructure provider. The company will work alongside Charles Schwab, a financial services company, Nasdaq, a global stock exchange operator, and Alpaca, a brokerage infrastructure platform, to help develop standards for tokenized securities.

DTCC is responsible for custody and asset servicing covering more than $114 trillion in global assets. Its tokenization platform is designed to bring blockchain technology into existing financial infrastructure while preserving the legal structure of traditional securities.

Plume also highlighted the security features of its network. Every transaction is checked by security partners before it is finalized on-chain. The company said its affiliate, Kimber Transfer Agency, a SEC-registered transfer agent, maintains the official ownership records for tokenized securities.

DTCC plans to begin limited production trades on its tokenization platform in 2026, with a full launch scheduled for October.
