Musicow, a fan-focused music rights platform, and Injective, a finance-focused L1-blockchain, announced a partnership to bring music intellectual property on-chain for a global audience. The companies plan to build infrastructure that will allow fans and investors to participate in fractional music rights markets beyond a single region.
Musicow already has experience in this area. The company launched its music rights marketplace in South Korea in 2017 and built a platform where users can participate in music royalty-based products. It later expanded into the US market with a structure designed around regulated offerings.
Injective adds the blockchain side of the project. The network was designed for financial applications and includes tools for tokenized assets and cross-chain connectivity. The partnership could allow music rights products to move between different blockchain ecosystems without splitting liquidity.
