TOKEN2049 Dubai, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency conferences, has been postponed from its original April 29–30, 2026 dates to April 21–22, 2027, due to ongoing geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East.

Organizers made the announcement on Friday in light of regional tensions that have impacted safety, international travel, and logistics in the UAE. Although preparations for the April 29–30, 2026 event were advancing well and registrations pointed toward a sold-out gathering of up to 15,000 attendees, the decision prioritizes delivering the high-quality experience TOKEN2049 is known for without compromise.

“In collaboration with our partners and stakeholders, and in light of the ongoing uncertainty in the region and its impact on safety, international travel and logistics, TOKEN2049 Dubai will be postponed to 21–22 April 2027,” the release notes.

The team stressed that the safety of the international crypto community remains paramount. Dubai continues to be viewed as a leading hub for digital assets, with organizers expressing strong confidence in hosting an even stronger edition at Madinat Jumeirah in 2027. All existing tickets for the 2026 Dubai event will automatically carry over to the new 2027 dates, requiring no action from attendees.

Ticket holders can also opt to transfer their passes to TOKEN2049 Singapore, set for October 7–8, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands. Sponsors and partners are being contacted individually to roll forward their commitments. Travelers with bookings are advised to reach out directly to airlines and hotels for changes. The postponement aligns with broader disruptions to crypto events in the region and points to the influence of geopolitical developments on major industry conferences. The next major TOKEN2049 gathering will occur in Singapore this October.
