Paxos, a regulated blockchain infrastructure company, has acquired Fordefi, a provider of institutional custody and MPC wallet technology. Paxos delivers blockchain-based settlement and asset tokenization services, while Fordefi offers secure wallet infrastructure for institutional decentralized finance.
The companies said the deal will strengthen custody tools for businesses entering the on-chain economy. Paxos will combine its regulated custodial framework with Fordefi’s MPC architecture and policy controls to support secure asset management.
Clients will be able to issue stablecoins, tokenize assets, and design payment flows on a single platform with consistent compliance standards.
