Two former employees of the TRON (TRX) blockchain project have dragged the TRON Foundation as well as CEO Justin Sun to court, alleging that they were treated in an unfriendly manner by Sun and illegally fired from the firm for objecting to the project’s unlawful management practices, according to reports on January 27, 2020.

Justin Sun Sued

Per sources close to the matter, two former developers at Tron, Richard Hall, 50, and Lukasz Juraszek, 28 have filed a lawsuit against Justin Sun and the Tron Foundation for treating them in a hostile manner and wrongfully terminating their contract.

Reportedly the lawsuit which was filed last October in a California state court but made public last week, names Justin Sun, 29, the founder and CEO of the Tron project, and Cong Li, 37, the head of engineering at Tron, as defendants.

As stated in the lawsuit, Sun used several tactics, including derogatory exclamations to pressure hall into “fast-tracking BitTorrent (BTT) software releases,” and bypass the legal review process for the application, even though he (Hall) notified Sun and Li of the risk of third parties hosting child pornography and other unlawful content on BitTorrent.

“Cong Li summarily dismissed these concerns, stating that he had discussed the issues with Justin Sun and that no legal review will be done,” the lawsuit declared.

What’s more, the lawsuit also alleges that top hierarchy officials at Tron also physically abused junior employees who fail to do their bidding. The lawsuit adds:

Lukasz Juraszek saw two sets of shoes belonging to Li and a manager under the conference room door and then heard a loud commotion from inside the room and then what seemed like a punch, slap, or a strike of a hand. When Li finally opened the door to leave the room, Juraszek saw the manager’s face was red, his eyes glossy.

Tron’s Unending Controversies

Now, the lawsuit is reportedly pursuing $15 million in damages, plus government action against the Tron Foundation for violating labor laws by wrongfully terminating their employment, emotional distress discrimination and hostile work conditions.

While the TRON (TRX) blockchain project has grown significantly since its launch in 2017, and it’s currently the second-largest protocol for the creation of decentralized applications (dApp), Sun and his team have attracted a lot of criticism in recent times.

In March 2019, reports emerged that a large chunk of Justin Sun’s much-talked-about 1 million Twitter followers were fake accounts made up of bots.

At press time, TRON (TRX) is the 12th largest cryptocurrency in the world. The price of TRX sits at $0.016945, with a market cap of $1.13 billion, as seen on CoinMarketCap.
