At Thursday’s Miami Heat season opener game in front of Milwaukee Bucks, one of the biggest crypto exchanges FTX has handed $500 worth of crypto to every spectator in the FTX Arena section.

Every fan in the audience is also offered an exclusive “Opening Night FTX Arena NFT” which could be accessed through a QR code in a T-shirt included in the giveaway hamper.

There are speculations among the fans that a different section of the audience can get crypto during each game to heat up the excitement. It is also unknown if this free crypto giveaway will be a regular event at Miami Heat Games.

Ryan Selkis, the founder of Messari calculated an estimated cost of giveaway by considering 21,000 speculators in the arena with 80 seating sections.

FTX is here to stay

FTX, in April, renamed the Miami Heat NBA arena as FTX Arena for the next 19 years by paying $135 million. This is a big achievement as the company is just two years old. Recently, as reported by TheCoinRise, the firm also raised $420 million in a Series B-1 round.

Anthony Pompliano, the famous podcaster wrote, “Don’t sleep on how powerful this sponsorship will be.” Along with this, FTX announced 3-time NBA Champion and the Miami Heat legend Udonis Haslem as its “You in, Miami?” campaign ambassador. The company says that it will work with Haslem to increase crypto adoption in the greater Miami area.

Halem said that he is really excited to share his community with FTX. He added that he is ready to start working on the crypto awareness campaign.

Blitzkrieg is a new addition to the ongoing campaign by the company which aims to support fans along with bringing more mainstream users.

The price index app of the company called Blockfolio signed an endorsement agreement with Trevor Lawrence in May, 2021.
