The highly-anticipated Crypto Power Lunch between billionaire bitcoin skeptic Warren Buffett and Tron CEO Justin Sun has expanded to include Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire.

Sun invited Allaire to his July 25 lunch on Twitter, and Allaire cheerfully accepted.

“Hi Justin, I would be honored to join you and Warren Buffett next week to discuss crypto!! Count me in. Crypto is now a major global policy issue.”

Hi Justin, I would be honored to join you and @WarrenBuffett next week to discuss crypto!! Count me in. Crypto is now a major global policy issue and there is a great deal for Mr Buffet to understand and for us to learn from him as well. https://t.co/PGY8bXQBcZ

Litecoin Creator Charlie Lee Is Also Coming

As CCN reported, Litecoin creator Charlie Lee was the first guest to accept Sun’s invitation to the $4.6 million lunch with Buffett.

The crypto convocation will take place at Quince, a three-Michelin-star restaurant in San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square neighborhood.

Sun chose San Francisco to spotlight the Glide Foundation, a local charity that Buffett’s late wife had supported. Glide provides meals for the homeless and helps domestic violence victims.

The $4.6 million that Sun bid was the highest-ever paid for the annual charity lunch with Buffett.

Justin Sun Solicits Questions on Twitter

On Twitter, Sun asked his followers what he should ask Warren Buffett, who is a notorious bitcoin hater. Not surprisingly, Sun received a number of thoughtful responses.

One person suggested that Sun ask Buffett what he thinks about the “powerful network effects of distributed token economies” and if he ever plans to invest in blockchain businesses.

Let’s also ask him if he would like to invest in an innovative business that utilises #blockchain , smart contracts and digital tokens to create frictionless value exchange within the #gaming & #esports industry. Social competitive gaming is the future 👽 #TRX

Another Twitter user says Justin should ask Buffett if he thinks that crypto could help with inflation.

My Question: what do you think absurd inflation? Don’t you think that cryptocurrency can help in this case? Look at states with massive Inflation they are printing Money on Paper. That’s not possible with restricted coins in cryptocurrency.

David Nage of Arca suggested that Sun ease into discussing crypto rather than alarm Buffett with the hard sell right off the bat.

p.s. do not, I repeat do NOT, go crypto right out the gate.

start global macro, discuss thoughts on potential US-China trade war, yield inversions here in the US…

me & my team are happy to help you prepare for this; all ex traditional finance ppl who moved to digital assets

Warren Buffett: ‘I Was an Idiot’ for not Buying Amazon Sooner

One Twitter user suggested that Sun ask Buffett if he regrets not having invested early on in Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Netflix, and Facebook. He says Buffett might regret missing out on the same early-stage tech opportunity if he doesn’t invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency now when the industry is still in its infancy.

As it is, Buffett has expressed regret that he did not invest in Amazon years ago. “I’ve been an idiot for not buying [Amazon stock sooner],” Buffett said in May 2019, after revealing that he has since bought Amazon shares.

Ask him whether he wishes he invested in Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Netflix, and Facebook when they were just starting out, and let him know that he will be missing the same early-stage tech opportunity if he doesn’t invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Sun: I Will Represent the Entire Crypto Industry

Bitcoin fans are excited about the forthcoming lunch, but Sun says it’s unrealistic to think that he can change Buffett’s mind about crypto after just one meal.

“It might be unrealistic to convince Warren Buffett, just in three hours, to buy cryptocurrencies. But we want to show him the recent progress of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.”

While many were initially concerned that Sun would use his lunch to only promote his Tron cryptocurrency, he insists that he’ll be an ambassador for the entire ecosystem.

“It’s not only about Tron,” Sun told CNBC. “It’s about crypto and blockchain — the whole industry. Our mission is to decentralize the internet.”
