ShapeShift CEO Erik Voorhees said at the Bitcoin2019 event that he would love to integrate Facebook's cryptocurrency Libra into ShapeShift in the nearby future.
According to Coindesk, the Shapeshift CEO discussed the Facebook’s cryptocurrency project from a personal perspective at the Bitcoin2019 event.
Erik Voorhees, who has previously made it clear that he swings to the positive side of Facebook’s entry to the market, said that he believes there is a space for Libra in his platform.
'It’s too early because it doesn’t exist yet but I would love to integrate Libra into ShapeShift when it does exist', Voorhees said.
The CEO of Shapeshift recently argued in one of his first tweet storms on his massively-popular Twitter account, that he thinks that Libra actually holds many characteristics similar to cryptocurrencies regardless of the naysayers.
2/ I know, I know, “it’s not a cryptocurrency!!!” some will yell. Well, yes and no. Relative to PayPal or to the US dollar, Libra is very much a cryptocurrency. Relative to Bitcoin or ZCash or DAI, Libra is not all that crypto-y.

Voorhees further noted that Libra most possibly will act as a catalyst for the rise of the entire cryptocurrency market, something that many of his followers disagreed with.
'One of the effects is that people, specially Americans, will start to get more comfortable with a coin that is a little bit more powerful versus the dollar', he said.
5/ Libra will serve the mass market, and be the single largest bridge toward decentralized finance that has ever been built. Prior to this, the largest bridge was Coinbase, which has played an integral role in crypto’s rise.

In May Chepicap reported that Voorhees went on Bloomberg TV to make the bold statement that 'crypto is taking over the world'.
Clearly something we can all agree on, so perhaps the crypto community can as well agree that facebook's Libra will be a positive?
