Elon Musk posted a tweet mentioning a cryptocurrency, but this time, it’s not Dogecoin.

“Ethereum,” Musk tweeted, followed by another tweet, “jk”. The one-word tweets triggered many responses from his followers, who are possibly crypto enthusiasts at the same time.

Amongst the responders is of course, the man behind the mentioned crypto himself, Vitalik Buterin. He used this “opportunity” to invite the Tesla founder to come to an Ethereum event.

“You should come to our Devcon in October :),” Buterin commented, which is responded by Musk, “Stop giving away free ETH”, whatever that means.

Stop giving away free ETH! 🤣🤣

And where there’s Buterin, there is always… Who? Justin Sun, of course! The founder of TRON can be seen of leaving a couple of one-word comments, “TRON” and “BitTorrent”.

Meanwhile, another interesting response came from Dogecoin. “I thought we had something special Mr. CEO,” the team tweeted along with an image of their icon in watery eyes.

As of writing time, Ethereum’s price is up by almost 1% at $160. It is unclear if the gain has anything to do with Musk’s mention.

Musk seems to have shown an interest in cryptocurrency for quite some time. In the Vanity Fair's New Establishment Summit back in 2014, he can be seen of praising Bitcoin by stating that it has the potential to disrupt the banking industry, although he also said that "it’s primarily gonna be a means of doing illegal transactions".

Just a couple of weeks ago, he "revealed" his safe word to his followers, which he admitted to be "cryptocurrency".

Earlier this month, the man can also be seen of expressing his "feelings" towards Dogecoin. "It's pretty cool," he tweeted at the time.

However, it all comes back to the ultimate question... But when, Mr. CEO??
