Iconic conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has recently claimed that billionaire George Soros offered him $5 million to pump Bitcoin (BTC). The Infowars host was discussing crypto on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, as reported by Toshi Times.

After he was banned from several major online platforms, Jones' high-energy rants about topics such as globalists, gay frogs, and faked high school massacres have had less exposure in recent months. Fortunately, Rogan invited him on to his show to clear up some things.

George Soros has been one of Jones' favourite targets in the past, and he didn't waste the opportunity to accuse him of another plot to manipulate the global economy. This time Bitcoin was involved, as was Jones himself: "two very well-known rich people, they said: ‘George Soros likes you. He wants to work with you… [as does] Alexander Soros… you just need to stop attacking him… and by the way, we want you to pump Bitcoin".

This was back in 2011, and Jones was offered $5 million worth of Bitcoin, which would have been worth around $38 million at the peak of BTC's 2017 bull run.

Jones also claimed that he had faith in crypto, but urged caution and an awareness of the shady forces that might be working behind the scenes: "I believe in cryptocurrencies. I believe it’s the future. We have a private federal reserve that’s all fiat – I’m not judging anybody, I’m just saying ‘be careful'".
