Supermodel Bella Hadid has officially entered the metaverse with the launch of her own NFT collection dubbed 'CY-B3LLA,' giving her fans a chance to own a three-dimensional version of herself.

Bella Hadid Jumps On The NFT Bandwagon

The NFT collection is in collaboration with reBase, a metaverse social platform. The collection includes 11,111 pieces of non-fungible tokens bearing her image. 'CY-B3LLA' will be divided into ten sub-collections of 1,111 each and distributed between 10 global cities, with input from local artists. The locations and the accompanying NFTs will be revealed between now and September. The first batch features images of a robotic-style Hadid inspired by the Japanese city, Tokyo. Commenting on the initiative, Hadid told Reuters in a recent interview, saying:

"To see what kind of version of me that their brain concocted was really interesting. There are so many different versions of me that you could make and not ones that I could ever dream up."

According to Bella, each NFT also works as a passport to a global community, unlocking rewards and enabling the holder access to real-life events attended by Hadid. The model enjoys playing video games, and the idea to launch the NFTs hit during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. She confirmed this in a prior interview with Vogue magazine last month:

"Over quarantine, my dream was to be a full gamer girl and play other people. When the NFT craze came, I was genuinely curious [about the community]. It went from gaming me wanting to create this cool avatar and be in that universe and connect with people to this."
