Nicole Buffet Likes Crypto Space
Warren Buffet, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, might not think highly of the crypto sphere, but her granddaughter sure does.
She is a popular NFT artist in the crypto industry and is active as an artist who creates and trades NFTs of her work. Nicole was also listed as top 50 influential folks in the space.
She thinks that NFT and its underpinning tech — blockchain — is mesmerizing.
Nicole Buffet told Fortune that, for her, this is like creating the works and sharing it in a fresh context. She further said that she is no technologist or a monetary expert, but loves the concept of art becoming its own currency.
NFTs are digital assets ranging from art to audio or anything that can be thought of digitally, displayed as tokens on blockchains. All of them can be acquired, sold or held, with authenticity and ownership tracked.
Nicole Is Not Into Stocks
Nicole Buffet said that while the “Wall Street vs. crypto” narrative receives a lot of limelite, she doesn’t believe that it is a precise representation of virtual asset space. She witnesses both as complementary to each other.
Unlike Warren Buffet, she said, she was never into stocks or Wall Street, as the industry is missing the vital element of art. She further said that, Now with Non Fungible Tokens, she has discovered an interest and understanding of stocks and what actually the asset means, as she can now relate to it.
A Window Of Opportunities
Nicole Buffet started to sell NFTs of her artworks during initiation of 2021. Her Spirit Coins, genesis collection, has more than $83,000 in transaction volume on OpenSea, the biggest NFT marketplace.
Nicole Buffet has also collaborated with firms like Blankets of Hope, Hope for Haiti and Open Earth Foundation, where some percentage or sometimes the entire proceeds were offered to charity.
In spite of the crypto sphere going through a bloodbath, Nicole still sees a light at the end of the tunnel for the NFT sphere. And even after the NFTs can provide a fresh income stream and windows of opportunities for artists, things are going smoothly in this sphere.
