On March 1, the NFT artist Emily “Pplpleasr” Yang announced, in a tweet, that she and her team are releasing the beta version of her project Shibuya. This project is basically a web3 video platform built around NFTs and tokens.

Shibuya is an ETH-powered video platform that allows creators to crowdfund their movies and web series while allowing supporters to have their opinion about the creative direction of each project.
This project came as a surprise even after a similar project was previously mentioned when Hello Sunshine and World of Women announced a partnership on bringing NFTs into the show business.
Shibuya is now launching an anime-inspired web series under the name “White Rabbit,”’ in collaboration with co-founder Maciej Kuciara, who is known for working on many Marvel movies and other blockbusters.
A 48-second pilot is now available on Shibuya right now. The series is introduced in an interesting way, but with a twist in the end. The more special thing about this series is that you get to decide how to end it by purchasing and minting a producer pass NFT and staking it to choose an end.
The maker promised to honor the audience’s voice and to work it into the next chapter, wherein each chapter will have its own NFT pass. Furthermore, the maker announced selling only 5000 passes for the first chapter. Each of these passes will be sold for 0.08 ETH with a maximum of five per wallet.
The NFT artist Emily “Pplpleasr” Yang commented on launching the project, saying:
This is an experimental project and we cannot guarantee any financial benefits to the token holders. However, any future benefits of the film will be shared with the community and token holders.
At the same time, the artist shared that she sees a lot of hope in this project. She believes that it is more flexible for creators and more compelling for supporters. She also shared that this project will be beneficial to supporters, as those who purchase and vote with Producer Pass NFTs will receive WRAB Ethereum-based tokens.
There will also be bonuses for voting early and picking the ultimate winner in each vote. In other words, the benefits might not be that fulfilling, yet this is a rising project that will achieve big success.
