“Scuderia Ferrari is glad to announce that, from next season, will be able to count on a new Premium Partner – Velas Network AG.

Welcome onboard.”

The multi-year agreement includes creating exclusive digital content for Scuderia Ferrari fans.

In this regard, Mattia Binotto, General Manager and Team Principal, Scuderia Ferrari, commented as follows:

“We are pleased to start this collaboration with Velas Network AG, a company that makes innovation and performance the hallmark of technologically advanced products and services: these are all values that unite us and that led us to choose Velas as one of our Premium Partner.”

Velas, Solana’s fork with embedded EVM integration

Velas Network AG has developed a blockchain fork of Solana but with embedded Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) integration. It is a DPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) blockchain network, with zero emissions, a concept where network users vote and elect delegates to validate the next block.

With this system, Velas Network AG strongly believes it has all the cards on the table to compete with Ethereum 2.0.

Meanwhile, thanks to its partnership with Ferrari, Velas will be the Title Sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series, the Prancing Horse’s one-make online series, and of the Esports team that will compete in the F1 Esports Series, the official digital championship in which all teams are taking part in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship participate.

In this regard, Farhad Shagulyamov, CEO co-founder of Velas Network AG, said:

“Having built a next-generation blockchain that puts the emphasis both on sustainability and performance, it was natural to partner with another icon of excellence, which is Ferrari. Velas has introduced an innovative variety of pioneering technology into the blockchain and associated products, which will now be showcased at the pinnacle of motorsport.”

Lamborghini is already within the NFT sector

The automakers and the NFT industry

At the moment, both Ferrari and Velas haven’t expounded more on the NFT sector, mentioning it only as a market in which Velas is a global player. Certainly, if we are talking about exclusive digital content, then the Non-Fungible Token sector cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, other automakers of the caliber of Ferrari are already part of this world, having released their own NFTs.

Such is the case with Lamborghini, who, through the creation of unique NFT artwork dedicated to the brand’s history, has also celebrated the history of the Lamborghini family. The Lamborghini NFTs were created by artists such as Emanuele Dascanio, Marciej Kuciara, Matteo Mauro, and Giovanni Motta and were auctioned off at the end of last September.

Maserati, too, launched its two NFTs on SuperRare last summer on the Automobilist page, a company that focuses on creating partnerships with car brands and creating its own pieces of art to collect on the blockchain.
