Wembanyama making headlines with the Spurs
Wembanyama has already been making headlines with the Spurs, including a remarkable 38-point performance in a recent game.
Notably, his first single-edition “Unique” digital trading card on the blockchain-based NFT game Sorare NBA fetched over $110,000 at auction, surpassing the $67,333 price paid for his top physical trading card prior to that.
NBA Top Shot, an officially licensed NBA NFT collectibles platform on the Flow blockchain, gained widespread attention during the last bull phase in the NFT market in 2021
Although sales have declined since then, Wembanyama’s debut on the platform could once against help generate interest and excitement among NFT sports cards collectors.
