The Non-Fungible Token (NFT) sector has continued to gain attention and pique the interest of gamers and crypto enthusiasts. The reason isn't far-fetched. What is Kawaii Islands?
Kawaii Islands is an NFT-based play-to-earn game that serves as a fantasy universe for players to experience different types of simulation gaming. These include building, farming, crafting, social networking, etc. The Kawaii Islands game is the start of a grand vision that aims to build an Anime Metaverse that will contain all the essential concepts of play-to-earn which are “to play, to connect, to create, and to earn.” Even though simulation games generally have high market caps, there isn't a ready play-to-earn simulation game out there. This makes the Kawaii Islands the first in this genre. The only other simulation games out there are Decentraland and My Neighbor Alice but the former isn't a play-to-earn game. A collaboration between Imba Games Studio (one of the biggest game development studios with over 14 million customers and over 6 years of experience developing games) and strategic partner Oraichain (the world's first AI-powered data provider for blockchains) promises to be a solid backing for the Kawaii game. Kawaii Islands also has an exclusive NFT Marketplace on aiRight. The game is audited by Certik and will use the $AIRI token as the game's temporary earning token before switching to the official $KWT token in October.
Kawaii Islands Gameplay
Players can build their on-chain businesses and grow their creativity by managing magical resources, creating different types of furniture for their house on the Metaverse, and fulfilling orders to earn fortunes and prestige. On Kawaii, players can also show their unique creativity and styles through different self-tailored outfits and they can hang out with other residents of Kawaii.
To gain access to the game, a player will need to create a Binance Smart Chain (BSC) account and connect their MetaMask Wallet to the game. Expanding and supporting other Wallets in the future is in the plans for Kawaii. A player will need to sign and agree to pay a fee for every transaction to purchase or craft a product.
Kawaii Islands NFT Marketplace
All essential game items will be sold as NFTs on Kawaii's exclusive marketplace. Every Kawaii Islands member will get the chance to open their shops/businesses where they can trade or farm NFTs on this marketplace. Every item a player purchases from the Marketplace will appear automatically in their in-game storage. This ensures players have easy control and tracking of their assets in the game. Winners of airdrops will also claim their airdrops on the right Marketplace which will be sent straight to their wallets.
Kawaii Token (KWT) Tokenomics
$KWT is the foundational token of Kawaii Islands and is the native utility token the anime metaverse utilizes. This token will have three main utilities in the Kawaii Islands ecosystem:
- Utility — Kawaii Token will be used in exchanging gaming assets because it is the main cryptocurrency in the game. To buy in-game NFTs or materials to craft items, or pay fees such as events/marketplace fees, players will need to have $KWT.
- Governance — Holders of $KWT will have the right to participate in the governance of the ecosystem. By holding $KWT, players are automatically eligible to make policy decisions in a DAO manner.
- Farming — Holders of $KWT can earn even more than $KWT as a reward for their yield farming activities. These activities include staking their tokens or providing liquidity.
