On June 20, Škoda India, the Indian subsidiary of the Czech automobile conglomerate Škoda Auto, launched the Skodaverse metaverse and NFT platform on the Near Protocol blockchain. Dubbed “Škodaverse India”, the platform will feature low gas fees, compatible NFTs for multi-platform use, and green, scalable NFTs, according to the developers.
The debut collection of Škoda NFT is planned to be launched in the near future. Benefits for NFT holders include owning a unique digital asset representing Škoda’s artwork or collectibles, potential for “value appreciation” and resale in the future, and access to exclusive perks, rewards or experiences tied to NFT ownership.
Trading is available in both fiat and cryptocurrencies. Developers also stated the NFT platform represents the firm’s first venture into Web3
