On June 20, Škoda India, the Indian subsidiary of the Czech automobile conglomerate Škoda Auto, launched the Skodaverse metaverse and $NFT platform on the Near Protocol blockchain. Dubbed “Škodaverse India”, the platform will feature low gas fees, compatible NFTs for multi-platform use, and green, scalable NFTs, according to the developers.
The debut collection of Škoda $NFT is planned to be launched in the near future. Benefits for $NFT holders include owning a unique digital asset representing Škoda’s artwork or collectibles, potential for “value appreciation” and resale in the future, and access to exclusive perks, rewards or experiences tied to $NFT ownership.
Trading is available in both fiat and cryptocurrencies. Developers also stated the $NFT platform represents the firm’s first venture into Web3
