MasterCard has recently shown lots of interest in the NFT space. Recently, the payments giant introduced a limited-edition MasterCard NFT at NFT.NYC 2023. This now kickstarts its Web3 music plan for the new musicians. The Mastercard Music Pass NFT enables people to join the MasterCard Artist Accelerator. Developed with Polygon, the platform offers free educational materials, Artificial Intelligence tools, and resources to enable musicians to grow their careers.

Assisting Artists With Blockchain And Web3 Technologies

MasterCard has worked with the blockchain sector in multiple areas, including the metaverse and crypto payments. The Artist Accelerator strives to use Web3 technologies to make some memorable, inclusive, and highly scalable experiences for artists and fans. MasterCard’s top marketing and communications officer, Raja Rajamannar, discussed helping users understand and trust blockchain technology and digital assets.

Rajamannar stated:

“As a company, we hope to help people and our partners worldwide better understand and trust how blockchain and digital assets are used – and how our technology can support the ecosystem. We also believe that Web3 can be a powerful tool in connecting people and building communities around shared universal passions.”

MasterCard’s Artist Accelerator Program

MasterCard has been a consistent and committed patron of the music industry, contributing greatly to many events in the sector including the BRIT Awards, Latin GRAMMY Awards®, GRAMMY Awards®, and the maiden Sonic Latin America Music Festival hosted in the metaverse.

Additionally, the MasterCard Artist Accelerator strives relentlessly to equip up-and-coming musicians with the needed resources and skills to flourish in the technology-driven era. This program, which is accessible via the MasterCard Music Pass, provides unlimited opportunities for music enthusiasts and Web3 fans to engage with the platform.

MasterCard selected five new and upcoming artists to join this program in the accelerator’s launch. They include LeriQ, Emily Vu, Young Athena, Manu Manzu, and Cocoa Sarai.

These artists will be mainly guided by five expert mentors as they enjoy and experience the AI music studio powered by Warpsound- to spur their content creation, get mentorship, and acquire some tips and tricks in utilizing the blockchain to monetize their work and build a thriving community of fans.

MasterCard’s Artist Accelerator program shows the firm’s commitment to empowering emerging musicians by leveraging Web3 technologies and blockchain. As artists keep learning how to navigate the digital landscape and monetize their work efficiently, they can constantly build great careers and contribute to the ever-changing world of technology and music.
