Lost Worlds, the location-based non-fungible token (NFT) platform, will host the LOST.NYC immersive experience on April 11-14 during the NFT.NYC conference.

NFTs have traditionally been constrained to the used in desktop applications, with little scope for interaction in the real world. Lost Worlds is developing geofencing technology to bring NFTs to physical locations, creating new ways for users to interact with digital assets.

Lost Worlds has formed several partnerships for NFT.NYC.

Web3 lifestyle app STEPN will use Lost World’s geoNFTs to provide offline to online experiences. Holders will be eligible for future exclusive mints on the MOOAR NFT platform.

The Acidverse is partnering with Lost Worlds to create a location-based profile picture (PFP) project linked to New York City, which aims to foster a sense of community among holders.

Lifestyle clothing brand Rollface will partner with Lost Worlds to launch a collection of 120 sushi roll NFTs that correspond with high-quality embroidered merchandise, showcasing how geoNFTs can be used to unlock token-gated items.

During NFT.NYC, Lost Worlds will also host a geoNFT scavenger hunt. Participants who collect geoNFTs from locations scattered throughout New York City will receive a non-tradable NFT Badge, which will unlock VIP access to side events and exclusive NFT drops.

Lost Worlds last month launched an upgraded beta version of its decentralized mobile web app, LOST V2, on the Avalanche blockchain.

The platform allows anyone to mint geoNFTs, which can range from digital collectibles to concert tickets and vouchers. Holders of geoNFTs can gain access to merchandise, real-world events, exclusive NFT drops, and more.
