Google Clouds Collaborates With Dapper Labs

According to Forbes, Google has chosen to take its initial steps into the blockchain realm by collaborating with Dapper Labs.

Dapper Labs, founded in 2018, is a blockchain business located in Canada best known for establishing the NBA Top Shot marketplace for non-fungible tokens.

Google's cloud service will act as a network operator to assist Dapper Labs' blockchain – Flow – in scaling.

Flow presently supports additional popular applications, like CryptoKitties, in addition to NBA Top Shot. It has over 2,000 engineers working on it, and Google Cloud services will let them connect to Flow access nodes with lower latency.

Janet Kennedy, Vice President of Google Cloud North America, stated that developers will be able to pick which regions power their platforms based on energy usage levels.

“It's basically about assisting them in achieving quick and sustained growth. Blockchain technology is getting increasingly popular. As a result, companies like Dapper require scalable, secure infrastructure to expand their operations and, more crucially, to support their networks.” - Kennedy continued.

Will Smith And Michael Jordan Participate In A $305 Million Investment In The NBA's Top Shooter

Coatue Management, a New York-based investment firm responsible for numerous previous technology investments, has closed a profitable purchase for Dapper Labs.

Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson are just a handful of the many NBA stars on the list. Basketball is only the beginning.

Will Smith, Ashton Kutcher, and Shawn Mendes are among others who have expressed interest.

The firm behind NBA Top Shot, Dapper Labs, rose to prominence with the video game CryptoKitties.

The project soon rose to prominence as one of the most well-known NFT collectibles on the Ethereum blockchain.

Now, with NBA Top Shot's spectacular rise, Dapper Labs is cementing its position with an additional $305 million investment.

With the Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) growing international profile and cooperation with Dapper Labs, the highlight reel moments that will undoubtedly be caught on it should earn even more millions for the firm.
