The XLS-20, which happens to be the standard for XRPL NFTs, is finally active and functional on the XRP Ledger mainnet. However, the process and planning for this ambitious vision began as early as last year.
The entire idea was to connect the NFTs to the XRP Ledger effectively. Ever since, all the think tanks at RippleX, which included all their expert and professional engineers, were duly put to the task. In this scenario, even the XRPL community, on the whole, willingly put in their contributions.
The entire process consisted of an enormous amount of performance testing. All the areas related to the usual bugs and fixes were closely studied and eradicated. On the whole, no stone was left unturned, and nothing was left to chance.
The entire procedure was thoroughly scrutinized and acted upon. The ultimate aim and intention of the company were never far from the minds of all concerned. It was to apply all of their collective minds to effectively upgrade on-ledger support, where NFTs were concerned, coupled with maintaining the XRPL balance. Out of the entire exercise, the XLS-20 was created. However, this happens to be the standard set for XRPL NFTs.
However, this, in turn, will now prove to be a massive convenience for all of the builders and developers involved with using the XRPL to breathe life into their NFT-related projects and apps. The procedure consists of the XLS-20 making conventional non-fungible tokens (NFTs) available to the XRP Ledger. However, these will be viewed as assets that will carry their mark.
