Shopify Teams up With Novel to Deliver Accessible Web3 Services

Leading e-commerce company Shopify teamed up with the Web3 commerce solution Novel to allow merchants to access blockchain tech easily.

Novel released an app on the Shopify App Store, which provides merchants with tools to try Web3 innovation in e-commerce without having technical knowledge. The Novel Shopify application has two main features: minting and distribution, and utility.

Through the first feature users can create art for a new NFT collection or upload an existing one. Novel can then make digital assets available on the Shopify marketplace for users due to smart contracts. When a user buys an NFT, Novel will provide an automated currency bridge and create a cryptocurrency wallet for the customers.

With the utility feature, Novel offers merchants to allow token-based utility on their Shopify accounts.

According to CoinTelegraph, Novel CEO and co-founder said due to the integration with Shopify, the company can leverage the top e-commerce platform to enable retailers to get into Web 3.
