Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins is partnering with web3 entertainment company Orange Comet for his first series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Orange Comet describes The Eternal Collection as a series of thought-provoking images and animations inspired by the actor’s performances over the course of his career.
“This collaboration marks an extraordinary endeavor for Sir Anthony Hopkins, expanding his artistic expression into the metaverse.
This NFT collection immortalizes Sir Anthony Hopkins’ diverse archetypal interpretations of The Eternal: The Jester, The Lover, The Rebel, The Hero, et al.”
The firm says the 1000-piece Ethereum-based NFT series was sold out in minutes after its listing on NFT marketplace OpenSea.
“THE ETERNAL COLLECTION SOLD OUT IN LESS THAN 7 MINUTES ?
THE FASTEST SELL OUT IN OpenSea HISTORY ???
Thank you Anthony Hopkins ??”
Hopkins turned to Twitter to post a video of him thanking those who supported his foray into the NFT space.
Looks like I have the capacity to crash the internet in one single leap ? Thank you everyone. I couldn’t have imagined this outcome. #SoldOut #TheEternalCollection@OrangeCometNFT @opensea @InnerCityArts pic.twitter.com/ADjBJN9P4s

Orange Comet says collectors will get to meet the two-time Oscar winner, who won academy awards for his roles in the movies The Silence of the Lambs and Father.
“The NFT series will also feature an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime IRL event for collectors, giving them access to engage with one of Hollywood’s greatest icons.”
