Taiwanese laptop maker Asus launched Art Blackhole Tuesday, a platform for Ethereum-minted NFTs, under its new Web3 division, Asus Metaverse Inc. The new platform, powered by Asus cloud computing and AI capabilities, is currently only open to invited artists to list their NFTs.
Collectors can purchase NFT artwork with New Taiwan dollars, the spokesperson said. The platform does not support secondary trading, but the secondary market is "launching soon," according to the company's website.
Joe Hsieh, chief operating officer of Asus said:
"Asus pays close attention to the latest developments of emerging industries, and we’re particularly drawn by the potential of the Web3 industry."
