Valuart announced it sold its first NFT artwork for 65 ETH worth around $152,370 based on Ether’s current value at the time of writing.
Valuart, the platform designed to collect and buy a non-fungible token (NFT), has sold its first NFT artwork at an auction for 65 ETH worth around $152,370.
Founded by crypto enthusiasts Etan Genini, Vittorio Grigòlo, and Michele Fiscalini, Valuart connects art collectors with creators, enabling them to get new opportunities to monetize their work through the medium of NFTs.
The platform aims to help artists discern the value of their work by connecting physical art with blockchain technology. In other words, Valuart brings traditional masterworks and artists’ work to the digital world via NFTs.
In addition, the blockchain-based NFT firm described the sold NFT. Valuart said,
The Spike NFT, based on a unique Banksy artwork of the same name, presents an astonishing environment produced by Valuart and created by combining cutting-edge CGI with a breathtaking aria, “E lucevan le stelle”, performed for this purpose by world-famous tenor Vittorio Grigolo.
More so, Valuart stated it is also reimagining some of the most iconic artworks ever created. “Breathing new life into classic mediums and giving today’s collectors a chance to acquire a piece of creative art history,” the firm added.
According to Valuart, it will donate half of the revenue from the auction of the ‘Spike’ NFT to support those suffering from conflicts, diseases, and poverty throughout the world.
As a result, Valuart partnered up with Doctors Without Borders or Médecins Sans Frontières. The partnership will help the Al Awda hospital project access surgery, anesthesia, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and mental health.
Following this, Leandro Sugameli, a member of MSF for the Italian speaking region of Switzerland, said,
Médecins Sans Frontières is the difference between living and dying. Bringing medical help to suffering people is an attempt to defend them from what attacks them as human beings. The collaboration with Valuart is a valuable partnership for us, the example of a relationship based on trust.
“By choosing to be by our side, Valuart has decided to transform their support into concrete actions: to be at the forefront, protagonists of real change and part of the effective solution,” said Sugameli.
What is more, this is not Valuart’s last support as it continuously seeks for partnerships to allow its support to have a significant impact on the world.
Recently, Valuart also announced the creation of an NFT — the only digital version of the “Mantum and the Stole” — Stefano Zanella’s work, which was worn by Pope John Paul II in 1999, on the occasion of the opening of the Holy Door of the Vatican Basilica.
