NBA Top Shot’s football edition is now operational. Following a protracted private beta testing stage, Dapper Labs recently announced that NFL All Day, the formally recognized NFL NFT collections marketplace, has opened its gates to all collectors.
NFL All Day, like Top Shot, offers tokenized video highlights as NFT artifacts that can be purchased, exchanged, and traded on the Dapper marketplace. Like Dapper’s UFC Strike network and initiatives from various companies and individuals, the platform is powered by the Flow blockchain.
The launch of NFL All Day was planned for the conclusion of the last NFL season, which concluded in February after Super Bowl LVI, unveiled last fall. When it first launched in that form in December of last year, it was still in closed beta, but as it improved and additional extras over the subsequent months, the number of users gradually increased.

According to Dave Feldman, senior VP of marketing at Dapper and a former NFL vice president,
“Once we decided that we weren’t going to launch before the Super Bowl last [season], I realized that we had the entire NFL offseason keep our heads down and focus on some of the most important features and game design elements that we want to include.”
According to a March announcement, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has joined NFL All Day to support the public launch. The Super Bowl champion Mahomes will represent All Day and appear in advertisements for the platform. Mahomes has already sold his own Ethereum NFT artwork for millions of dollars.
Mahomes is “simply a natural fit,” according to Feldman. He has truly been a pleasure to deal with. He is quite knowledgeable about Web3, NFTs, and NFL All Day.
More NFL NFT memorabilia to follow
NFL All Day will unveil a brand-new “Headliners” pack of NFT memories on Friday to commemorate this week’s public launch. This pack will feature the platform’s first Legendary-edition memories from Tom Brady and Derrick Henry and additional memories from Trevor Lawrence, Jalen Ramsey, and other stars.
Feldman said that NFL All Day will be different regarding how Dapper presents the content, although being operationally similar to the Top Shot experience. He said that previously undisclosed features would differ from NBA Top Shot in terms of approach and that certain content will be connected to the NFL’s schedule of primetime games.
During the limited beta phase, Feldman claims that NFL All Day drew approximately 200,000 paying consumers who each purchased an NFT moment, totaling “tens of millions of dollars” in sales. CryptoSlam reports that in addition to the original primary purchases made through the platform, secondary market sales have totaled nearly $37 million.
According to Feldman, the long-term strategy for NFL All Day is to gradually layer in new features, gamified collection challenges, and other utility for holders. This strategy has also been used for Top Shot. He claimed that Dapper is still developing and focusing on user functionality despite the collapse of the cryptocurrency market and the falling prices of several NFT projects.
He stated,
“I believe some of the difficulties of what’s been happening in the Web3 area has just been short-term, lack-of-utility ventures. We’re focused on the long term and enhancing the overall fan experience,”
