Ripple and Coinbase have expanded access to Ripple USD ($RLUSD), bringing the stablecoin to retail and institutional customers across major trading platforms. The partnership supports deposits and withdrawals across the $XRP Ledger (XRPL), Base, and Ethereum, giving users more flexibility when transferring digital dollars.

Coinbase customers can now access $RLUSD through Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Exchange, and its retail app. Additionally, users can convert U.S. dollars and other supported dollar-denominated stablecoins into $RLUSD at a 1:1 ratio.

$RLUSD Expands Across Institutional Markets

The integration strengthens $RLUSD’s presence across trading, settlement, custody, and decentralized finance. Consequently, institutional clients gain another option for managing digital-dollar transactions through infrastructure they already use.

Ripple will also provide liquidity for $RLUSD on Base to support adoption across the network. However, Coinbase Global Exchange customers must await further availability, including the option to use $RLUSD as collateral.

$RLUSD Market Capitalization Surpasses $2.6 Billion

Since launching in December 2024, $RLUSD has grown beyond $2.6 billion in market capitalization. Moreover, Moody’s assigned the stablecoin A2 long-term and P-1 short-term deposit ratings on Wednesday, citing its reserve assets’ credit quality and market value.

$RLUSD maintains dollar redemption and reserves backed by U.S. dollar deposits, short-term Treasury securities, and cash equivalents. Hence, the partnership could help Ripple reach more users as demand for regulated stablecoins grows.
