Ripple has expanded its institutional trading services through Ripple Prime, offering round-the-clock perpetual swaps linked to real-world assets. The service covers more than 100 markets, including stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), metals, energy and currencies.

Announced on October 15, the offering gives institutions access to reference perpetual futures listed by trade.xyz on Hyperliquid. Clients can trade beyond traditional market hours, including weekends.

Ripple Prime Adds Cross-Asset Trading

Ripple Prime will act as principal in the trades, allowing institutional clients to access the swaps through its brokerage services. Eligible clients can also use cross-margining to offset risk across asset classes and post Ripple’s $RLUSD stablecoin as collateral.

“Institutions want exposure to equities, commodities, and currencies with the round-the-clock access and efficiencies of digital infrastructure,” said Michael Higgins, international CEO of Ripple Prime.

Ripple Expands Institutional Services

Earlier this month, Ripple Prime expanded its relationship with Brevan Howard, providing brokerage and clearing services across multiple asset classes. Ripple also entered financing swaps linked to leveraged ETFs following its $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road.

Separately, Ripple is integrating Stripe-owned Privy’s wallet technology into the $XRP Ledger to help developers build applications supporting $XRP, $RLUSD and other network assets.

$XRP traded at $1.34, up 0.04% in 24 hours, while trading volume reached $3.18 billion, according to CoinMarketCap.
