Tereina and Circle Add Stablecoins to SAP

Tereina, an SAP-backed (a global software company) financial services company, and Circle, a financial technology company and issuer of $USDC and $EURC, are partnering to bring stablecoin payments into enterprise workflows. The integration will start with SAP Cloud ERP.

The companies aim to let eligible businesses use $USDC and $EURC through existing financial applications instead of setting up separate systems for stablecoin payments. $USDC will be used for eligible US dollar payments, while $EURC will support euro-denominated transactions.

The integration will be available to SAP customers through SAP Pay. According to the companies, the SAP ecosystem supports businesses responsible for 84% of global commerce. The partnership is intended to give these companies access to blockchain-based settlement without replacing the applications they already use for financial operations.

Tereina and Circle plan to run proof-of-value programs with customers in the coming months. They will also train treasury and payments specialists and work with ecosystem partners on stablecoin-enabled payment use cases.
