The license portfolio gives OpenPayd greater geographical coverage across the US and strengthens its ability to serve global businesses that need compliant payment infrastructure for US operations, the company said Wednesday.
The expansion complements OpenPayd’s growing regulatory footprint in Europe, including its recent authorization under the EU’s MiCA regime by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
“Every era of finance has been defined by its infrastructure: correspondent banking wired together the twentieth-century economy; programmable money will power the twenty-first. The US is at the forefront of this evolution, and with regulated foundations now spanning the US, UK and Europe – across both fiat and digital assets – OpenPayd has something few providers can claim: regulated infrastructure spanning both fiat and digital assets, on both sides of the Atlantic,” Dr. Ozan Ozerk commented on the move.
The regulatory push follows a strong quarter of commercial growth. OpenPayd said ARR surpassed $96 million as of July 31, while annualized transaction volumes exceeded $300 billion. The company remains profitable and operates without external capital, serving more than 1,200 clients around the globe, including Kraken, eToro, OKX and B2C2.
OpenPayd’s US expansion also comes as it prepares for a potential Nasdaq debut. The London-based fintech company announced in June that it would list on Nasdaq under the ticker “OP” through a definitive business combination with Titan Acquisition Corp.
The transaction, which values the firm at approximately $1.1 billion, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending customary closing conditions and Titan shareholder approval.
