Robinhood Chain-based $CASHCAT has surged by almost 100% in the last 24 hours, with its market capitalization now exceeding $150 million. Alongside the price spurt, Robinhood Chain’s total value has climbed to $774 million, rising by 20% over the last week amid rising on-chain activity.
Cashcat buzzes from Robinhood US listing, $CASHCAT spikes by 90%
According to data from crypto price aggregators, $CASHCAT price has soared by 90% over the last day, driven by a wave of positive factors. The cat-themed token is trading at $0.1483, staging a strong recovery from the dip in prices that followed its July launch frenzy.
At press time, daily trading volumes have spiked by over 250% to settle at $109 million. $CASHCAT’s total market capitalization has since surpassed the $150 million mark, but the recent price surge still falls short of its all-time high of around 22 cents.
Several reasons account for the surge in prices over the last 24 hours for $CASHCAT. Emerging reports indicate that Robinhood US has listed the memecoin, fuelling a spike in speculative buying by retail traders.

However, the Robinhood US listing has been trailed by allegations of insider trading, with several wallets going long on $CASHCAT hours before the official announcement. Several pundits have since predicted a near-term dip in prices following the listing by Robinhood US.
“Unfortunately, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the exact signal most people were waiting for to go short on $CASHCAT,” wrote an analyst.
$CASHCAT is outperforming a flat broader market, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) recording modest gains of under 1%. Meanwhile, other low-cap meme coins are riding $CASHCAT's wave to post double-digit gains in the last 24 hours.
Robinhood Chain TVL surpasses $774 million
Barely one month after its July 1 mainnet launch, Robinhood Chain’s TVL climbed to $774 million. The growth spurt represents a 20% increase over the past week, marking one of the fastest increments for a new Ethereum Layer-2 network.
Primarily, the growth has been driven by established DeFi protocols rather than newly launched applications. Morpho and Etherna account for 43% and 41% of Robinhood Chain’s TVL, respectively, with the stablecoin supply representing a major slice.
Meanwhile, the value of tokenized assets on the network has reached $100 million, up from around $70 million in late July. Last month, Robinhood’s Chain DEX activity briefly surpassed Ethereum and Base, representing a key milestone for the newly minted network.
Robinhood is currently subsidizing gas fees until late September. Once users begin paying transaction fees themselves, the market will get a clearer picture of whether the chain’s rapid TVL growth reflects lasting adoption or launch-driven incentives.
