Gemini Cryptocurrency App to Launch on Samsung’s Blockchain Wallet

Samsung phone users now have the advantage of using Gemini app as their cryptocurrency wallet, a collaboration between the Winklevoss Twins’ crypto exchange and Samsung has made it possible.

Samsung Electronics Co and Gemini Trust Co. are both partnering to give users the golden opportunity of storing their crypto holdings on Samsung mobile phones.

The collaboration make Gemini become the maiden cryptocurrency exchange in Canada and U.S. to allow users of Samsung’s blockchain wallet to check their cryptocurrency holdings on their wallet app.

From the blockchain wallet, users willing to trade can easily be directed the Gemini app from their Samsung mobile.

Gemini’s MD of operations says the partnership will result in full integration between the two apps, however, he did not disclose the terms and conditions of the deal.

This is a major boost for Gemini as Samsung’s mobile phone makes eighteen percent of the world’s smartphone market and competes with Apple Inc.

According to Gemini, the app would be featured on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and S20 Series, however, the app won’t function on Verizon Communications Inc.’s internet.

Samsung has been a relevant avenue for crypto companies for some while as the tech company supports cryptocurrency. In the past, Samsung included TRON , Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchain on their mobile phone. In fact, TRON wINK is now included on Samsung mobile phone. As well, Samsung Blockchain Keystore is now supporting TRON,  Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Klaytn.

Also, you can find TRON Dapps on some Samsung mobile phones.

Recently, Samsung publicized that it has unveiled a turnkey security solution for securing crypto transactions on its tablets and smartphones.

The security initiative is made up of a Secure Element (SE) chip S3FV9RR and with state-of-the-art software.

Samsung has a vested interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain at large. Right from the time, it included TRON, Ethereum, Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies to its blockchain wallet, it has been on investment spray, catching crypto startups young and integrating crypto tech into its mobile phone at the same time.

Samsung Pay collaborated with Visa card platform Swipe Earlier this month to give room for easy crypto payments on phones making use of Samsung Pay.
