Binance has announced a new investment option under its Simple Earn On-Chain Yields product line.
The company announced today that the product, called the “Plasma $USDT Locked Product,” offers daily $USDT returns to its users and also provides a special airdrop opportunity for the Plasma network’s native token, $XPL.
As part of the campaign, users can earn on-chain returns by locking their $USDT holdings. They will also receive a share of an airdrop of 100 million $XPL tokens, equivalent to 1% of the total supply. These rewards will be distributed following Plasma's token generation event (TGE). While Binance hasn't announced a specific date for the TGE, it has stated that interest in the first phase of the process is high.
According to the company, the initial subscription quota of 250 million $USDT was fully filled shortly after the product's launch. Binance described the product as part of its catalog of on-chain strategies delivered in a user-friendly manner through a centralized exchange (CEX) experience.
Plasma, a Bitfinex-backed, stablecoin-focused Layer 1 blockchain project, stands out. Designed with high transaction volume and low costs in mind, the project aims to provide infrastructure for the scalable transfer of dollar-denominated digital assets.
