Avalanche has introduced a new Visa card allowing users to spend cryptocurrencies like WAVAX, USDC, and sAVAX at any location that accepts Visa.
The card, provided by Rain Liquidity, offers both physical and virtual versions, making it accessible for a broad range of users.
Unlike traditional cards, the Avalanche Card is not a bank product and lacks FDIC insurance, meaning it functions more like a prepaid card. User activity isn’t reported to credit bureaus, offering more privacy, but also requires users to manage spending responsibly.

Initially, the card will be available in Latin American and Caribbean countries, with plans for a broader release. However, it will not be accessible to residents or citizens of several countries including Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, and Iran.
This move is a significant step forward for Avalanche and the broader crypto sector, highlighting growing interest in making cryptocurrencies more functional for everyday use. As more companies develop crypto card services, it could pave the way for mass adoption.
