$USDC Support Deadline is April 5
Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it will cease the deposit and withdrawal transactions of $USDC, a digital stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, on the Tron blockchain on April 5, 2024.
In a post shared by the crypto exchange, it explained that $USDC tokens deposited with the TRC20 network will not be transferred to users’ accounts as of 02:00 UTC on the aforementioned date.
As this change will only occur on the Tron blockchain, users will be able to continue depositing and withdrawing $USDC via other blockchains like Ethereum.
This decision by Binance comes about a month after Circle, the company of the stablecoin $USDC, announced it was ending its $USDC minting services on Tron.
