As the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry expands, it attracts more people who seek to specialize in it, which is why the crypto trading platform Binance has started its first summer internship program aimed at students from elite universities around the world.
Specifically, the crypto exchange has secured 23 spots for interns who will spend 10 weeks attending the immersive Advanced Management Program (AMP), acquiring relevant practical knowledge and skills, as per a press release shared with Finbold on June 5.
Notably, the selection process involved a careful curation of more than 8,000 applications, which required testing, interviews, and group case study assessments, with the 23 candidates standing out with their skills and potential to benefit from the AMP’s curriculum.
Indeed, one of the interns, Markus Bergvinson, a student at Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the application to study with the experts at the world’s largest crypto exchange, stating that:
“I was inspired to apply for this internship not only because of Binance’s reputation as a leading global cryptocurrency exchange but also by CZ’s leadership in revolutionizing the workplace to create a high-efficiency environment. I was also motivated by how this internship presents the chance to gain real-world experience alongside experts in a dynamic and rapidly growing industry by contributing to Binance’s innovative strategies.”
Nurturing crypto talent
During the AMP, the chosen students will learn the ropes at various departments, including Marketing, Customer Service, and Binance Academy, as well as elements like Communications with Impact and Culture Intelligence, under the guidance of Binance’s experienced managers, executives, and project leads.
After they complete the program with a presentation of a final project, Binance may offer the most successful interns from top-tier universities across the world a permanent position within the company or a place in the Graduate Leadership Program in 2024.
Commenting on the development, Binance co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Yi He stressed that:
“Our Advanced Management Program is a unique, thoughtfully crafted initiative aimed at discovering outstanding young individuals who have a passion for Web3 and equipping them with vital skills and experiences to thrive in this fast-paced sector. We are excited to provide this hands-on experience, nurturing future talents and driving our industry forward.”
As it happens, the AMP is the newest effort in onboarding crypto enthusiasts to the sector with free resources, scholarships, and internships. In 2022, the company brought in 200 interns from across the globe through its Binance Accelerator Program (BAP), which exposed them to hardcore Web3 environments.
