Binance, a prominent player in cryptocurrency trading, recently unveiled the integration of two fresh tokens into its Innovation Zone.
The platform’s users can now engage in spot trading for Floki Inu (FLOKI) and Pepe Coin (PEPE) starting today. The announcement further disclosed that these new additions would soon be made accessible as borrowable assets within the next two days.
The Innovation Zone is an exclusive trading area where users can trade newly launched and potentially volatile tokens that may carry higher risks than other tokens.
Binance has announced that PEPE and FLOKI will be listed on their platform starting from May 5, 2023, at 16:00 [UTC]. Although trading is unavailable, users can deposit funds to prepare for trading.
FLOKI started as a meme coin project, but it has since expanded its offerings to include a range of products, including games, NFT collections, and even a crypto debit card. Meanwhile, Pepe Coin is a controversial meme coin based on a cartoon character with no utility and created by an anonymous team. In fact, the controversy arose precisely because of the unclear origin of the token.
On the back of this announcement, the prices of FLOKI and PEPE soared by 60% in minutes.
Pepe Coin (PEPE) has recently shown outstanding performance in the cryptocurrency sector. In the past seven days, its price has increased by more than 900% and has surged by an additional 60% within the last 24 hours.

As a result, its market capitalization has exceeded $1 billion. However, it’s important to note that the hype around this coin appears to be an isolated case, as other meme coins like Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Floki Inu (FLOKI) have not experienced any significant gains recently.
According to CoinGecko, PEPE has become the 45th largest digital asset, surpassing well-known cryptocurrencies such as EOS and Stacks (STX).
On the other hand, Floki Inu (FLOKI) currently holds a capitalization of $510 million, placing it in the 86th position on the list of the largest cryptocurrencies.
